Aperture enters the 2027 French Robotics Cup
That’s it, Aperture is born! Behind the name — Association Pour l’Étude, la Réalisation et le Test d’Unités Robotiques Embarquées — are three enthusiasts determined to compete in the 2027 French Robotics Cup, from 5 to 8 May in La Roche-sur-Yon.
The team
- Denis Werle, president, the band’s handyman;
- Sylvain de Langen, secretary, the band’s programmer;
- Jacob Michalski, treasurer, the band’s manager.
This year’s challenge: The Legend of Camelot
The theme was unveiled in September: this year, our robots will have to build Camelot out of cardboard stones, raise their Grail as high as possible, get back to the throne room in time and send their knights to storm the opposing castle. All the details are on our Cup page.
What’s next?
The coming weeks will be spent studying the rules, choosing our strategy and sketching the first drafts of the robot. We are also looking for partners to fund and equip this first season: if your company would like to support us, let’s talk!
